Meet the team - Patrick

Meet Patrick, one of the founders of Ajen. After bringing a breath of fresh air to the flower industry, his friend Maartje and he felt inspired to rethink the everyday moments of personal care. Patrick invites us to let nature into our daily routines, one small step at a time.

Favorite way to start the day

Waking up to the smell of fresh croissants on a Saturday morning. Enjoying a cozy family breakfast with homemade pancakes, jokes, riddles and lots of laughter. Then stepping outside for a quick espresso in the garden, listening to the birds and noticing the changing seasons.

Favorite nature escape

Kortenhoef, a peaceful spot just 20 minutes from Amsterdam where forest, wetland and lake come together. Time moves a little slower here and nature takes the spotlight. Our cottage there is the perfect place to unwind, try my hand at gardening (with mixed results!), and enjoy quality time with loved ones.

Digital detox

Free style swimming is Patrick's go-to digital detox since last year. Focusing on breathing and technique in the stillness of the pool helps clear his mind. A game of padel is his favorite way to get an adrenaline fix and let his competitive side shine.

Scent inspiration

For Patrick, scent has always been a way to reconnect with cherished memories. Growing up in the green North of The Netherlands, he spent countless hours exploring local forests - breathing in the crisp morning air, brushing past wild herbs, and feeling at peace among the trees. That’s why he is a personal fan of Wilderloof, our signature scent that combines warm cedar and amber with gentle notes of clove and coriander. Like nature itself, it's an invitation to slow down, take a deep breath, and let the calming presence of the forest become part of your daily routine.

@Ajen

Patrick is happiest when collaborating with creative teams on new products - whether it's testing formulas, designing packaging or launching the website. Bringing ideas to life that make the everyday a little brighter, more mindful - that's what drives him.
